TCPA consent
TCPA consent is a customer's prior express agreement to receive automated text messages, required under the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act before such texts are sent.

Delivery updates are informational rather than marketing, so express consent (a ticked box, a clear yes) is the standard rather than the written consent marketing needs. Consent can be revoked by any reasonable method and must be honoured within ten business days; the FCC's one-text-per-package exemption is too narrow for a multi-message delivery sequence.
