Quiet hours
Quiet hours are the times of day — under US federal rules, before 8 AM and after 9 PM in the recipient's local time — when telephone solicitations may not be made.

The federal rule covers marketing, not delivery updates, but the courtesy carries over: a 5:40 AM text announcing bread is on the way is unwelcome even if lawful, and some states are stricter. Send the scheduled notice the evening before and hold anything that isn't time-critical until morning.
