How allowances work
What counts as an order
One delivery to one customer is one order. It counts once, in the month of its delivery date, when it’s put on a route — updating it, re-planning it or moving it to another route doesn’t count it again.
Limits are advisory: you’ll get a heads-up at 80% and 100% of your plan’s allowance, and nothing stops working mid-route.
How texts are included
Starter includes 750 customer texts a month, Porch 1,500 and Route 7,500; Fleet’s allowance is set for your volume. Past the allowance it’s $0.015 a text or $10 per 500. They cover the updates your customers get: scheduled, on the way, almost there, delivered and couldn’t deliver.
Texts start once your business’s texting registration is approved, which carriers require (up to five business days). Until then — and on Porch Light — email updates and tracking links keep customers in the loop, and they work from day one and are always free. The details are on the texting page.

Is every feature really on every plan?
Yes. The optimizer, drive mode, proof of delivery, tracking pages, zones, the orders API and webhooks are on every plan, Porch Light included. Plans differ only in how many orders and customer texts they include, and in support.
How does the free trial work?
