Service time
Service time is the minutes a driver spends at a stop between arriving and leaving — parking, carrying, knocking, photographing — as distinct from driving time.

It is easy to forget and it adds up: forty stops at four minutes each is nearly three hours that no map shows. A planner that ignores it produces a route that is late by lunchtime. Service time varies by kind of stop — a porch drop is quick, a signature with a wholesale receiver is not.
