Dispatch
Dispatch is the act of sending a planned route to its driver — and, in delivery software, the moment customers are first told their delivery is scheduled.

Before dispatch a route is a plan the office can still reshape; after it, a driver is working from it. That is why software restricts what can change on a dispatched route and why it is the point at which links, manifests and notices go out.
In Porch Route dispatching a route texts or emails the driver a no-login link to that one route, sends customers their scheduled notice, and makes the route visible on the dispatch board, where every route appears on a timeline and a map with each driver's position while it runs. A printable manifest is available for the loaders.
