Delivery zone
A delivery zone is a defined area — a radius around a point or a shape drawn on a map — that a business delivers to, with its own delivery days, time window and rules.

Zones keep routes dense: each part of the territory is served on its own day, so Tuesday's build only sees Tuesday's orders. They also answer the customer's first question — do you deliver to me, and when?
In Porch Route a zone is a radius or a drawn area with its delivery days and a window. Orders added by hand or from a CSV are matched to the zone containing their address; orders from a store's API are never re-filtered by zone, because the checkout already decided. Per-zone cutoffs and daily caps are coming.
