Order cutoff
An order cutoff is the latest moment an order can be placed or changed and still be picked, packed and loaded for a given delivery day.

It is worked out backwards from when the vans leave: subtract packing time, pick-list time and a margin, and state the result as hours before the delivery window opens so it stays honest across daylight-saving changes. Published where customers order, and held every week, a cutoff removes most delivery-day surprises.
