Steps
Step 1: Open Zones and choose “Add zone”
Give the zone a “Name” such as “North of town”. The description reminds you: orders you add or import inside this area are labelled with it, and nothing is turned away for being outside a zone.
Step 2: Choose the shape
“Radius”: search a ZIP code, city or address to place the centre (or tap the map), then drag “Distance from center” between 1 and 50 miles. “Draw on the map”: tap to add corners and tap the first corner to close the shape; drag a corner to move it, or “Clear” to start over.
A drawn area needs at least three points.
Step 3: Pick delivery days and a window
Tick the “Delivery days” you drive this area. Turn on “Delivery window” to tell customers roughly when to expect you (defaults 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM); leave it off to deliver any time that day.
Step 4: Stop time, daily limit and cutoff
“Default stop time” (3 to 15 minutes) is used to estimate arrival times. Turn on “Daily order limit” so a day shows as full once it has that many orders. Turn on “Order cutoff” to stop offering a day a set number of hours before its window starts — the hint tells you, in plain words, when ordering closes.
The “Next delivery days” preview shows what your store’s availability check would offer for this zone. It advises; nothing is ever turned away.
Step 5: Save, and let drivers claim it
Choose “Add zone”. In Drivers, each driver can tick “Zones they know”, so stops in this zone lean towards their vehicle when you build. Editing a zone later adds an “Active” switch; inactive zones stop matching new orders.
Good to know
- Zones apply to orders you add by hand or import from a CSV. Orders that arrive over the API are never re-filtered by zone — your checkout already decided.
- Each zone card shows its shape, which days it delivers and whether it’s on.
Questions
Does a zone block orders outside it?
No. Zones label orders and nudge them towards drivers who know the area. An order outside every zone is still planned and delivered.
Can two zones overlap?
Yes. An order inside more than one is labelled with the best match; the cards make overlaps easy to see.
How does the cutoff work?
With “Order cutoff” on, a delivery day stops being offered the set number of hours before its window (or your usual departure time). The zone sheet’s hint states the result, for example “Ordering for a day closes 1 day before it starts.”
