_One delivery to one customer is one order. It counts once, in the month of its delivery date, when it’s put on a route — updating it, re-planning it or moving it to another route doesn’t count it again. Allowances are on [pricing](https://porchroutes.com/pricing)._

## Should I use the free planner or Porch Light?

Use the [free multi-stop planner](https://porchroutes.com/tools/multi-stop-route-planner) for one list of up to 25 stops, with no account. Use Porch Light when the delivery day repeats: it is free up to 150 orders a month on 1 vehicle, and it keeps the route, the driver link and proof of delivery.

What a delivery route planner does, past the free limits, is on the [delivery route planner](https://porchroutes.com/delivery-route-planner) page.

## What's the catch with free?

Porch Light is 1 vehicle, includes no customer texts, covers 150 orders a month, and support is by email. Passing the allowance does not stop a route that is already out.

- **1 vehicle.** Starter is $39 a month for up to 500 orders. No per-driver or per-vehicle fee on paid plans.
- **No customer texts.** Porch Light sends email and a tracking link. Customer texts come with Starter (750 a month) once texting is ready.
- **150 orders a month.** The limit is advisory, with a heads-up at 80% and 100%. Nothing stops mid-route.
- **Email support.** That is the support included on Porch Light.

Every new business also gets a 14-day trial of Porch's allowances (up to 1,000 orders a month), with no card. No per-driver or per-vehicle fee on paid plans. That trial is separate from Porch Light, which stays free. Prices and allowances are on [pricing](https://porchroutes.com/pricing). How other products charge is in [what delivery route software costs](https://porchroutes.com/learn/how-much-does-delivery-route-software-cost).

The plan cards list each allowance in the same words as [pricing](https://porchroutes.com/pricing). Porch Light stays at 150 orders a month on 1 vehicle. Customer updates on Porch Light are email and a tracking link. No per-driver or per-vehicle fee on paid plans.

| Plan | Price | Orders | Vehicles and drivers | Customer texts | Support |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Porch Light | Free | Up to 150 orders a month | 1 vehicle | Email and tracking-link updates | Email support |
| Starter | $39 a month, or $390 a year | Up to 500 orders a month | Unlimited vehicles and drivers | 750 customer texts a month | Email support |
| Porch | $79 a month, or $790 a year | Up to 1,000 orders a month | Unlimited vehicles and drivers | 1,500 customer texts a month | Email support |
| Route | $189 a month, or $1890 a year | Up to 5,000 orders a month | Unlimited vehicles and drivers | 7,500 customer texts a month | Priority support |
| Fleet | Custom | More than 5,000 orders a month | Unlimited vehicles and drivers | Texts set for your volume | A dedicated contact |

Every feature is on every plan. Texts past an allowance are $0.015 a text or $10 per 500; email and tracking links are always free. Prices are early-access pricing, in US dollars, as of September 14, 2026.

## How do you plan your first route for free?

Create an account on Porch Routes and confirm the email link, and you can build a route the same day. These steps match the [getting started guide](https://porchroutes.com/guides/getting-started). Setup also starts a 14-day trial of Porch's allowances; Porch Light is the plan that stays free, with no card.

1. **Create your account** Enter your work email and a password, then open the confirmation link in the email. It brings you to business setup.
2. **Name the business and its time zone** Customers see the business name on the tracking page. Delivery dates and windows use this time zone.
3. **Set the depot** Type the address routes start from. Miles and times are counted from there.
4. **Add your first vehicle** Porch Light plans 1 vehicle. Name it and tick what it can carry: frozen, refrigerated or dry. A stop no vehicle can carry waits unassigned, with the reason in plain words.
5. **Add orders, build the route, and send the driver link** Add orders by hand, from a CSV, or through [Shopify, WooCommerce and the API](https://porchroutes.com/integrations). Build the route, and send the driver a link that opens in the phone browser. There is no app to install. The [driver link](https://porchroutes.com/learn/farm-delivery-driver-link-no-app) page describes that screen. [Get setup help](https://porchroutes.com/contact) if the first route needs a hand.

## Who is the free plan right for?

Porch Light fits a business that delivers on its own vehicle and stays within 150 orders a month. A one-off list of up to 25 stops can use the free planner with no account.

- **Farms and CSAs on one van.** A weekly route of your own boxes fits 1 vehicle and 150 orders a month. See [farms and ranches](https://porchroutes.com/industries/farms-and-ranches) and [how many stops a driver can make in a day](https://porchroutes.com/learn/stops-per-driver-per-day).
- **A weekly delivery day.** Saved vehicles, zones and days mean next week does not start from a blank list. The free planner is the one-off list. Porch Light is the day you run again.
- **A one-person bakery or florist delivering locally.** One vehicle and email updates cover a local round when you are the driver. See [bakeries and meal prep](https://porchroutes.com/industries/bakeries-and-meal-prep) and [florists](https://porchroutes.com/industries/florists).

## Questions

Porch Routes has a free plan with no credit card, and a free planner with no account. The limits are 150 orders a month on 1 vehicle, or 25 stops on the planner.

### Is there really a free delivery route planner with no credit card?

Yes. Porch Light is free for good up to 150 orders a month on 1 vehicle, with no credit card, and every feature is included, from the route optimizer to proof of delivery. The free multi-stop planner needs no account at all and handles up to 25 stops for one vehicle.

### How many stops can I plan for free?

The free multi-stop planner takes up to 25 stops for one vehicle with no account. On Porch Light the limit is orders, not stops: 150 orders a month on 1 vehicle. Google Maps is also free but takes only 9 stops on a computer, counting the final destination, and it does not put them in order.

### What happens when I outgrow the free plan?

Nothing stops mid-route. Limits are advisory, with a heads-up at 80% and 100% of your allowance. When you need customer texts, Starter is $39 a month for up to 500 orders and 750 texts. No per-driver or per-vehicle fee on paid plans. Annual billing gives two months free.

### Does Porch Light include customer texts?

No. Porch Light's customer text allowance is 0. Updates on that plan are email and a tracking link, not texts. Texts come with Starter, 750 a month, once texting is ready. Email and the tracking link work from day one.

### Is Porch Light one vehicle?

Yes. Porch Light plans 1 vehicle and up to 150 orders a month, with no credit card. The free multi-stop planner is also one vehicle, up to 25 stops, and needs no account. No per-driver or per-vehicle fee on paid plans. Several vehicles at once starts on Starter.
